    The Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, successfully held the 6th International Conference in Health Sciences (ICHS) 2025 on September 9th–10th, 2025. Under the theme “Innovating Health for a Better Future: Advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Through Collaborative Action,” the conference served as a strategic platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share the latest research and innovations. Held online via Zoom meeting, this conference explored themes such as interdisciplinary health sciences, nursing care and technology development, nutrition science and functional food, pharmaceutical sciences and clinical pharmacy, public health sciences, sport sciences and physical education, also medicine and health related disciplines.

    The conference was attended by 160 participants, consisting of 141 presenters and 19 non-presenter participants from various national and international institutions. The event commenced with a welcome speech from The Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Prof. Dr.sc.hum Budi Aji, S.K.M., M.Sc and opening speech from The Rector of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Sodiq, M.Sc.Agr. The keynote speaker of the 6th ICHS 2025 is Prof. Brian Yuliarto, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia, who emphasized the critical role of research and innovation in shaping national and global health landscapes.

    The scientific agenda featured a series of plenary sessions led by renowned international experts:

    • Prof. Gojiro Nakagami, PhD., RN from Department of Gerontological Nursing/Wound Care Management, Division of Health Science and Nursing, Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo, Japan, opened the scientific program with insights on “Care Innovation through Bioengineering Nursing Research.”

    • Prof. Madya Dr. Razinah Sharif from Center for Healthy Ageing and Wellness, University Kebangsaan Malaysia discussed “Understanding Nutrigenomic and Relative Cancer Risk for Populations in Southeast Asia.”
    • Dr. Hening Pratiwi, S.Farm., apt. M.Sc. from Department of Pharmacy, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Indonesia, explored the frontier of “Advancing Digital Health Technologies in Pharmacy.”

    The second day continued with impactful presentations:

    • Priscilla Magrath, Ph.D. from Mel&Enid Zuckerman, College of Public Health, University of Arizona, USA, presented on “Integrating Traditional and Modern Care” for maternal health in Indonesia.
    • Haryatiningsih Purwandari, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep. Sp. Kep. An., Ph.D from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Indonesia, shared her research on “Understanding Preterm Infant Cues and Maternal Feeding Patterns.”
    • Dr. Björn Zimmermann from H/P Cosmos Sport & Medical Gmbh, Germany, concluded the plenary sessions by promoting “Cardiovascular Endurance Through Physical Education.”

    In addition to these keynote addresses, the conference featured parallel sessions where 141 presenters disseminated their findings across various health science disciplines, fostering rich discussions and potential future collaborations. The conference concluded with a closing ceremony that recognized research excellence, awarding 17 participants with the “Best Presenter” award.

    6th ICHS 2025 underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in achieving SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. The event reinforced the global health community’s commitment to creating sustainable and impactful solutions for the future.
